What initiatives are promoting healthy eating habits

Many different countries have begun developing initiatives for people to start eating healthier and to start living a healthier lifestyle, such as countries like Singapore; A company called “Health Promotion Board” has launched an initiative called “My healthy plate” which aims to improve nutrition for people, as well as providing a simple and educational visual tool to encourage healthy eating habits in Singapore. In the words of motivational author Jim Rohn, 'Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live,' showing that not only a balanced diet is essential, but also indicating that mental self-care is also necessary. According to research, 80% of students aged 13-18 years do not meet recommendations for fruits and vegetables. Plus, more than 50% of students do not limit the intake of deep fried products together with 25% of students drink more than one sweetened drink daily. In some countries such as Peru, Uruguay, and Costa rica have all banned “junk food” in public schools since 2012, and programs in countries like Brazil, Ethiopia, Malawi, and Senegal have changed their policies to increase the amount of school foods sourced by local producers. Now this has proven that many people around the world have already started to make efforts towards healthy eating habits!
